National Night Out-Smithfield

National Night Out – will take place Tuesday, August 4 at Main Street Baptist Church located at 517 Main Street in Smithfield from 5 to 8 pm.  The free event is designed to bring police and community together.  Attendees will enjoy free hotdogs, games, activities, fingerprinting for kids, static displays of emergency vehicles, information on community watch, domestic violence, bike safety, car seat safety, gun safety, temporary tattoos and more.  This is a great opportunity to meet your local law enforcement and emergency departments.  The 2nd Annual Children’s Art contest will be offered again with the theme, “What a safe community looks like.” New this year, bring your phone or camera to the event for a “Capture the Moment” photo contest for all ages.
