The Isle of Wight-Smithfield-Windsor Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Isle of Wight County and the Towns of Smithfield and Windsor, will present the annual State of the County Breakfast on Tuesday, June 6, 8am, at the Smithfield Center.
Our guest speaker will be Dennis H. Treacy, Chairman of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and President of the Smithfield Foundation. Mr. Treacy also served as the Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice President at Smithfield Foods Inc. until December 31, 2016.
The Virginia Chamber of Commerce will gather business input at the State of the County Breakfast for an update to "Blueprint Virginia," its strategic plan for long-term economic growth. The state chamber president, Barry DuVal, will be in attendance.
U.S. Congressman Bobby Scott (D, Va.-3rd) also plans to attend.
Buffet breakfast by the Cockeyed Rooster Cafe will be served. Tickets are $18 for chamber members, $20 for non-members.Old Point National Bank, Sentara Healthcare, Smithfield Foods and the Town of Smithfield are Industry Level Sponsors.
